Spray Foam Insulation for Residents throughout Rochester, NY and the Surrounding Area
The insulation experts at Lotze Insulation Design specialize in installing closed cell spray foam insulation for homes of all shapes and sizes. Since 1977, we’ve helped homeowners throughout Rochester, NY and the surrounding communities stay at comfortable temperatures year-round by using spray foam to properly insulate homes. Not only will you enjoy staying warm during the winter and cool during the summer, but you’ll also enjoy saving so much money with reliable insulation.
Why Spray Foam Insulation?
Spray foam insulation has many benefits compared to other insulation materials on the market.
A Solid, Easy-to-Apply Barrier
With the right equipment and precautions, spray foam is easy to install. Once applied, the foam expands in a matter of seconds, allowing it to easily fill irregular and hard-to-reach openings in your home. Spray foam is a dense material and doesn’t have any openings or space between fibers, making it a reliable barrier against air leakage. Not only does it greatly slow down air transfer between your home and the outside world, but it also keeps out pollen, dust, rodents and other pests. The density of the foam can also reduce sound transfer between the rooms in your home, making it an excellent material for soundproofing.
All the Strength You Need
The chemical make-up of the material makes it highly resilient; unlike other kinds of insulation, spray foam doesn’t fall victim to water, moisture, mold or mildew damage. It also won’t be attractive to rodents and other pests as a food source, so pesky bugs and mammals won’t eat away at your insulation. Spray foam doesn’t sag or settle over time, making it an insulation material that will last for years to come.
So Much Savings
By preventing air leakage, spray foam insulation keeps the conditioned air in your home and keeps out outdoor air. During the winter, you won’t have to use so much energy to power your heater in order to stay warm. During the summer, you can run your air conditioner at a lower power without sacrificing cool air. Not only will this keep your energy bills down, but it also allows your heating and cooling equipment to last longer without major repairs. Spray foam insulation is not just a comfort maker—it’s also a huge money saver!
A Greener Insulation
Spray foam is also one of the most eco-friendly materials. It’s made of rapidly renewable material and has a very low Global Warming Potential (GWP), providing year-round comfort and a reduced carbon footprint.
What Makes Closed Cell Spray Foam so Great?
At Lotze Insulation Design, we specialize in using closed cell spray foam because of its added density. Not only does this added density give it a higher R-value per inch, but it also allows it to provide structural support to your home, including your roof, attic and walls. Closed cell spray foam also has a lower vapor permeance than open cell because of its cell structure, adding further protection from moisture damage for your home.
Because of its added density and insulation capabilities, closed cell spray foam is the preferred insulation choice for both interior and exterior applications.
At Lotze Insulation Design, We Install These Products:
SES Nexseal 2.0
Nexseal 2.0 is a closed cell spray foam that’s made of a resin and polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate blend. Not only will it keep your home insulated, but its combination of fire retardants, low global warming potential blowing agents and fungal resistance will protect your home from fire and fungal damage and reduce your carbon footprint.
When applied, Nexseal 2.0 has an R-value of 7.0 per inch, creating a sturdy barrier that keeps in conditioned air and protects your home from outside air, dust, pollen and moisture. We can easily apply it to attics, walls, crawl spaces, around pipes and more.
We also install ThermalGuard CC2 & CC2 ECO closed cell spray foam insulation from Rhino Linings. Both kinds have an R-value of 6.7 per inch when applied and can easily be applied to roofs, attics and walls in practically any climate. Once applied to the surface, the foam expands up to 25x its original size within 12 seconds, allowing it to insulate and protect your home in no time.
The ThermalGuard CC2 ECO is made of a hydrofluoroolefin blowing agent, giving it far less GWP than other closed cell spray foam products on the market.
